Central America

Overview

Central America is a narrow strip of land that feels impossibly rich in colour, culture, and adventure—a place where every border crossed brings a new rhythm, a new flavour, and a new heartbeat. In Costa Rica, emerald rainforests hum with life: sloths dangle lazily from branches, scarlet macaws flash overhead, and volcanoes rise dramatically above cloud forests and coffee plantations. Adventure here means zip-lining through jungle canopies, soaking in thermal springs, or surfing Pacific waves at sunset.

Across the Caribbean waters of Belize, the pace shifts to the rhythm of the sea. The world’s second-largest barrier reef teems with kaleidoscopic marine life, while ancient Maya temples stand hidden in the jungle, whispering stories of a powerful civilisation. Nights bring music, rum, and an easy smile from locals whose warmth lingers as much as the tropical heat.

Further north, Guatemala astonishes with its contrasts: colourful markets in Chichicastenango, the volcanic beauty of Lake Atitlán, and the colonial grace of Antigua, framed by peaks and cobblestones. This is a country where every vista feels like a painting, and every encounter a glimpse into traditions rooted deep in Mayan heritage.

In Panama, skyscrapers rise over a glittering canal that connects oceans and continents, yet wild rainforest lies only moments away. The San Blas Islands, scattered like jewels across turquoise seas, offer barefoot escapes where culture and paradise intertwine.

Central America is more than a passageway between the Americas—it is a destination of its own, brimming with energy, resilience, and passion.
